It was a great weekend for the Clarenville Summit Fest, as many skiers came out to brave the wet conditions. Waxing was certainly tricky for Saturday’s classic race. There were many Avalon and BMD coaches to lend a hand to their respective teams to get them kicking along the trail.
The race format was good with 4X800m providing spectator entertainment/cheering opportunities and lots of excitement.
The King’s court sprint with 6 in a heat was a lot of fun to watch – especially the first heat. It was a fun 800m course with lots of little ups and downs and 2 sharp turns.
Overall a great weekend in Clarenville and one of the most well attended summit fests in memory!
