The 47th Great Labrador Loppet hosted by the Menihek Nordic Ski Club took
place on Saturday March 26th between Labrador City and Duley Lake Park.
120 people came out to celebrate winter in the great Labrador outdoors.
Amazingly there were 54 kids in the 2.5, 5 and 10K events.
Adults participated in the 10,20 and 40 Km events.
There was also a 10km snow shoe event.
A free pasta supper preceded the Loppet
Prize and medal presentations took place at White wolf Snowmobile club and
Menihek Nordic.
Supporters were White Wolf, RNC, Labrador West Search and Rescue, HAMs of
Western Labrador, Towns of Labrador City and Wabush, BBA photographer, Ken
Manstan Medals, Shannon Carlson (Tims) and the staff of Menihek Nordic and
Executive.
