Traditionally at the Newfoundland and Labrador Cross Country Ski Marathon the club with the most participation is awarded the Ernie Langins Trophy. In recent years CCNL has introduced a “distance traveled” multiplier factor to allow visiting clubs to compete on an even footing.
This year there will be a virtual Ernie Langins Trophy awarded to the club with the highest percentage of its members participating. While a formal decision will have to be made by the CCNL Board of Directors as to whether this will include presentation of the Ernie Langins Trophy to the winning club and engraving of the winning club’s name on the trophy, our main sponsor The Outfitters has put up a $500.00 gift certificate for the winning club!
